I love these skates. I am a middle age adult, and have only skated a little. I don’t have the strength in my ankles for typical figure skates. These are nice and thick around the ankle, adding the needed support. I felt comfortable and confident in them and couldn’t be happier with these skates. Only downfalls are that the length of the ties are too long and skates do not come sharpened, although that is expected with new skates.
