I get that a lot of “real” snowboarders would never in a million years use this, but then again, I’ve yet to see any of these “real” boarders roll up to the lodge with kids and all their stuff in tow.This strap has two great functions for me. First, I can zip it down to a small length and let my 8yo carry her own board. Second, if I’m carrying my board in one hand, I can have this on my shoulder and still have a hand free. Maybe it’s not super cool, but I’m a big fan of being able to grab my kid’s hand when walking through the parking lot; call me crazy.It folds down really small and does fit in a pocket, but there is a noticeable weight. Not a deal breaker, but a thing.Will this strap make you the coolest kid on the slopes? Absolutely not. But will it let you finish your coffee as you walk to the ticket station? Yes. Therefore….worth it.

This was a purchase for my snowboarder son and he used it this weekend in VT- it was so great to have hands free walking around and getting to and from resort/mountain-so convenient and made sturdy !
