This set is great! Our family plays all the time around our yard! They are wooden so they do get nicks in them when they hit concrete or brick. Overall very pleased!!

My buddy has had a set of these for around 25 years and we just plays with them again. I bought a resin set and one broke immediately. The reason is, we play bocce by underhanded throwing them through the air, and sometimes supplanting the position of the nearest ball by landing on top of it. The wooden balls can handle that type of play. They can take a beatin’ and the game can keep repeatin.’

This Bocce set is great. Real wooden balls made in Italy. Nice laquered finish. The Pallino is a little small for a grass field so I ordered a 57mm Pallino from Amazon. Bocce is a lot of fun and can be played by even the youngest to the oldest family members. The set comes in a nice nylon carry case and with the quality of craftsmanship should last for generations.

Really pretty set of balls. Being made of wood, they are lighter weight and produce more explosive energy when they hit each other. Fun for everyone. I did upgrade the white marker ball to a 57mm sized one – good choice as it’s nearly impossible to see the other one in the grass.A very important note I don’t see mentioned here – Absolutely do not let these touch rock/concrete. This may be obvious to some, but we are beginners playing in our very bumpy yard. A few balls slowly rolled onto the driveway (talking just the weight of the ball on a 3° slope) and chewed the crap out of the paint. It was shocking how brittle it was. You can smack the balls together pretty hard together without making a dent, but watch out if they go out of bounds. Had I known this beforehand, I would have gotten a resin set. I can’t control how other people throw and don’t look forward to explaining to everyone to not use these like they do their sets.
