RECOMMENDED. See photos comparing it to John Deere part. Fit & finish as well as welds are surprisingly excellent. Holes are the right diameter and are at the same spacing as JD’s, but located differently in height from the foot pad. You get the pins and spring clips for installation that do not come with the John Deere part. Sold in pairs whereas the JD part is sold as single units. Dimensionally less stout than John Deere’s part (see photos), but much more economical. The round footpad that sees all the wear is 60% as thick as the JD part, and if it is made of the same kind of mild steel as JD’s, it will wear out faster in the same use even though each pad has a slightly larger contact area. Time will tell.
