This is a good general use wax, a bit sticky at first, but works reasonably well across general temperature and purposes. If you’re a pro, you’ll probably want a more specific and optimized wax, but for recreational use, this wax melts easily, spreads well, offers good coverage for not a lot of cost, it’s easy to use and cost effective. I did find it to be a bit on the sticky side when temperatures are in the teens and snow is fairly dry packed-powder, it wears in a bit in those conditions, but it’s initially a little slow. Again, for recreational skiing/snowboarding, mostly a non-issue. It scrapes reasonably, a little chippy but not too bad. Overall, if you’re shopping for a value wax, this one’s pretty good.

This was worked fine on our beginner boards. I don’t have a lot of experience with my own waxing, but it seemed to work fine. You will need a wax iron and scraper to use this. The was melted fine and scraped off like it should.

They melt, they scrape-off and I’m satisfied. These bars fall into that category. This is coming from a guy who used bar-soap on sled runners as a kid!I think it’s more about technique and the other tools you have access to that makes your ski/snowboard tuning good or average.I do like blue wax over red or white. That’s just preference, I’m sure. I have a pattern and many colors on my runners. And blue wax doesn’t change any of that.This is one of those items that I keep forgetting when I’m out shopping. No issues. It melts well, covers well, and it’s easy to shave down. It gives the slightest hint of blue when applied – but I like that. Let’s me know it is there. It does not have a fun smell like some wax. I would say that’s the only thing it is missing. But having a fun-smelling wax is a personal preference. If you need to stock up on basic wax for skis or snowboards – this is a good choice.
