This UVEX ski helmet really surprised me and in a very good way, I had a lot of different helmets over the years but I have never tried Uvex, but knowing the name of the brand from other products that I used in the past, I decided to give it a try. There are a lot of positives that are worth discussing about this helmet and almost no negatives at all to be mentioned, but before that, a quick few words about the packing and presentation. The helmet comes in a nice clean retail package with only the company and model name on the outside, branded and labeled with the specific color and size inside, well isolated and protected. Inside the box, there is the helmet, additionally protected with a fabric bag, and a small user manual.Positives:- Great comfort and protection – The helmet offers EPS inner shell and PC outer shell for shock absorption and impact protection, the comfort of the inner liner is great with a soft plush material and multiple perforations for ventilation and breathability. The chin strap is also padded and comfortable, plus the ear cover cups are big enough to provide protection and good fit. Speaking of fit, the size can be easily adjusted with the Uvex IAS system with quick twist.- Lightweight and ventilated – Normally I prefer to wear a lighter helmet especially if I am skiing all day, heavier ones are starting to pressure too much at the end of the day, in addition, wearing a full head cover underneath sometimes is becoming too hot and the option to open the vents and let some fresh colder air in, is great.- Comfortable – I wear size L in most helmets and that’s why I ordered another size L from this one, and it fits as expected, maybe ever so slightly loose, which can be adjusted with the IAS system. The inner padding is covered in soft fabric without any unnecessary and uncomfortable synthetic leather which will eventually crack.- Quick release chin strap – Again, my current and much more expensive helmet doesn’t have this feature, I really like it and makes strapping and unstrapping extremely fast.- Inexpensive – At $120, this helmet is priced extremely reasonably, especially considering the brand name and implemented technologies.- Several different color options – I ordered the white one, since I am planning to sticker it out, but there are other options if you like other colors.- The wind noise level is good – Not the most isolating from the outside noise while skiing, but up to par with helmets that are twice the price.- The inner liner is removable and washable, a good option if you are using it regularly.Negatives:- A step down model that doesn’t offer Uvex’s visor attachment, but I knew that before ordering, I just wish that they made the visor attachment possible on all models.- More ventilation points would have been nice as well.- Slightly longer neck protection is another personal thing I would have loved, but I know that is a subjective desire.Overall, excellent Uvex Wanted ski helmet for the price, I think the look is clean and stylish, with good comfort and safety features.

Really nice and snugly comfortable to wear. The inside fabric feels good on the ears and the chin strap as well. After fiddling with the chin strap for awhile to adjust, it snaps in easily and come apart easily without fear of pinching. The vent holes on top are a nice touch. Easy to reach behind the head to adjust the head circumference band. Helmet really felt a snug accompaniment to my head, not an odd fitting after-thought.

I am really impressed with this helmet. There is a fairly wide range of adjustment and both myself and my wife were able to set it to a comfortable fit using the large adjustment knob on the rear. The interior fabric is very soft and warm, particularly around the ears. If things get too hot, there are ample vents that open and close with a single slide switch on the roof of the dome. There is an ingenious elastic cord with a hook at the back for securing goggle straps and the positioning is perfect to keep them in place. Do all of your initial chin strap adjustment before heading out. Unlike a D loop type closure, this chin strap uses a plastic locking mechanism that doesn’t have a lot of adjustment. It works great once you get it set up. It’s much easier to do it when inside and warm rather than outside in the cold. Once set up, two hands to engage the clasp and just a pinch with thumb and forefinger to release. My face and head are on the narrow side and I found the fore and aft fit just a little tighter than the side to side but overall, not enough to cause discomfort.

This helmet is for my son and fits him very well. He can wear it when he ride his bike. The helmet is very nice quality, great product. I’m happy my son can have the helmet to play more safe.

This helmet is extremely comfortable. The helmet is well made, durable, and has a ventilation system allowing the user to adjust accordingly. This product looks amazing also. The ears are covered when you wear this helmet keeping them warm. There is enough space between the ear padding and the ears to have EarPods in for phone calls or listening to music. The chin strap is comfortable and makes wearing this helmet even more enjoyable.
