I am giving this set a 5 star rating because of the value…..If price was not a component of the rating I would probably give the discs 2 or 3 stars on their own merits.I am pretty sure that these are made out of DX plastic…. but it is a little different than anything I have seen before. If you hit trees with the Driver or Mid the disc edges will get funky quick. On hot days these discs get pretty soft….The driver throws well. I would liken it to an Innova Valkyrie… I would guess it is probably a speed 9 or 10. It is a little heavier than the average Innova DX disc and significantly heavier than a 3 star disc….but I get good distance with it and it is VERY easy to throw.I would describe the mids as being similar to an Innova Roc 3. It is a little heavier than a ROC 3 and it is less versatile. It is a good disc but I would guess it is either a speed 3 or 4, which is a little slower than the ROC 3.I LOVE the putters included in this set. They are heavy for sure, but I don’t mind. They cut the wind and go where I want them to. On really sunny days they get hot and soften and grip the chains pretty good….If you have a season or two of Disc Golf under your belt and you want to get some friends into it, these are great discs for that purpose. If you are a beginner these are perfect for you to go out and learn with….These are not championship quality discs, but they should last a season and …..they fly good! The included bag is sorta cheapish….but it works and all the discs fit back in easily. For the money this is a really good purchase!

I am a cheap son-of-a-gun. I wanted to join my son on the disc golf course without having to dive into my sofa cushions for loose change to buy gear. Turns out these are a good investment for a noob disc golf player. After countless You Tube vids and coaching from my son, I have an idea on how to sling a disc. What makes these discs good are the minimal investment. From here you can figure out if further investment in disc golf is worth your effort. The drivers (yellow discs) have serious fade (curve to left) if you are a right handed thrower. I am learning to compensate and work the fade to my benefit. I also found the fairway discs (red) to be very stable. Overall I found these discs a good way to get started and figure out if I want to really invest in this sport.

This is a great set and a great value for novice players. We are foster parents and currently have 4 teenagers in our family so disc golf is a fun experience for the entire family. This set came in handy when one of our kids requested a disc golf adventure for his birthday and we realized additional children would be involved. The set was affordable enough for us to provide sets for everyone that attended. The only thing that would make them better would be for them to have some kind of labels to identify them as individual sets but we easily solved that with a sharpie.

Bought these to split between my friends and myself for the occasional “starter pack challenge” round. My friends and I have all been playing for roughly one year. This set gave us the most fun round we’ve had in a long time, and these discs are good enough that they could actually find slots in our regular bags. If nothing else, it was gonna be interesting to play completely blind with these cheap, unbranded, unknown discs, so them being great to play with, even regularly, was a pleasant cherry on top.5 stars for extremely high bang-for-buck.
